Great tour, Joel was awesome guide. Fun anecdotes. Personalized tour of Boulder, and the bikes were so fun!

The Boulder Joyride eBike Tour best illustrates why Boulder is one of the best cities on earth for riding bikes. From our centrally-located starting point, we'll take to bike paths, streets, alleys and other byways on this comprehensive, local's-eye view of Boulder. We'll explore the town's eclectic neighborhoods, visit popular (and lesser known) areas of interest, take in stunning views, and immerse ourselves in Boulder's vibrant outdoor culture. Along the way you’ll discover Boulder’s unique urban/nature interface, eclectic neighborhoods, and fun “alternate” routes that only someone with decades of local riding experience (like your JD's Joyrides guide) knows.

Departure Point

  • We can be a little tricky to find as we’re actually off Range St. You’ll find our bike shack in the parking lot BEHIND Updog Day Care. From Arapahoe Ave you’ll turn north onto Range St and then make the second left into the parking lot, just past Updog Day Care’s white fence.

We had a wonderful time. Paths were smooth, sites were wonderful, equipment was top notch and our guide was amazing. Happy early birthday Nico.

It was better than expected in every way. I knew it was going to be good just because of the excellent communication from J.D. from the very beginning. We had riders of different skill levels and none of us had experience with e-bikes. J.D. and Nico did a great job of making sure every one going on the ride was comfortable before we even left the lot where we met. Once the tour started we were almost immediately on a beautiful bike path surround by greenery right beside boulder creek. It kept getting better and better. We rode by Boulder creek, the entrance to boulder canyon, the UC campus, Chataqua Park, and the neighborhoods in between. We stopped at some amazing spots with incredible views, and it was the perfect mix of a relaxing care free bike ride, and “site seeing.” J.D and Nico took great care of us and we had a great time. I was a bit nervous about some of the hills, especially since I haven't ridden in a while and I’m not in great shape, but it was really easy, sometimes even comical how I was cruising up hills with little effort. I also appreciated that the bikes were in great shape and had secure saddle bags to put belongings in. Small detail, but it made all the difference. I feel like we got to appreciate the true nature of Boulder. That’s definitely a double entendre, because we got to experience it like a local does. I look forward to coming back and doing it again.
