This was a wonderful, informative and casual tour of historical Beaufort. Wynn was fabulous with his fund of knowledge of the historical sites and well as the surrounding context of the history of the day contributing to the events in Beaufort. The walk is easy and the 2 1/2 hours went by quickly. We could recommend this to anyone looking for a guided tour of Beaufort.

You will be swept up in the 500 year history of Beaufort, the jewel of the south. You will hear of Indian massacres, Pirates, Slaves, planters wealthy beyond belief, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, a great fire, a catastrophic hurricane, and the wonderful stories of the brave and tenacious people of Beaufort.

Janet's Walking History Tour of Beaufort was one of the highlights of our trip to South Carolina. Janet brings History to life in a hugely engaging, often moving, way. This, combined with boundless energy, fun and great story telling makes her walking tour a 'must do'. Janet's knowledge of Architecture and traditional building enhanced our appreciation of this very special Town.
