The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdeztwazi or “Spiral Rock Arches.” This incredible canyon has been created over many thousands of years by the relentless forces of water and wind, slowly carving and sculpting the sandstone into forms, textures, and shapes which we observe today. The views in Lower Antelope Canyon change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, filtering lights softly across the stone walls. These ever-moving sun angles bounce light back and forth across the narrow canyon’s walls, creating a dazzling display of color, light, and shadow.

Good tour, great views, and guide did an excellent job of explaining some of the history and natural phenomenon behind these canyons and how the flash floods carve them out. She also took and helped us take plenty of awesome photos.

I am extremely disappointed with this Lower Antelope Canyon tour, and honestly, it felt like a complete waste of money. For a tour that costs around $100 per person, the experience we received was nowhere close to acceptable. Our guide, Troy, made the entire tour feel like a nightmare. Instead of enjoying and appreciating the beauty of Antelope Canyon, the way he treated us made the place feel like hell. He was rude, impatient, and clearly not interested in giving us a good experience. While other groups were getting explanations, history, and fun facts about the canyon, our guide didn’t share a single thing. No information, no guidance — nothing. We basically walked through in silence. But the worst part? He didn’t allow us to take pictures. This location is literally world-famous for photography — that’s the entire reason most people come. Every other group was taking photos freely, but our guide rushed us the whole time, scolded us for stopping, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. It honestly felt like we were being punished for no reason. Both our guide and another guide kept scolding and talking to us very disrespectfully, and it ruined what should have been an amazing experience. For the price paid, this treatment is completely unacceptable. I really hope Viator looks into this seriously, because no customer deserves to be treated this way. After such a terrible experience, I strongly feel some kind of compensation or refund should be considered

It was a great experience with Ken’s tour and our guide was very good in explaining the history and current challenges of antelope canyons. He was helpful in explaining different picture modes which were valuable to get the perfect photo. Please try to book slots during noon to get perfect colors.
