Denali Experience Flightseeing Tour from Talkeetna

This flight was an AMAZING way to experience Denali National Park, especially in the winter! Our pilot was incredible and was able to give great commentary the entire time! Beautiful views all around! Highly recommend!!

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with this Denali flightseeing tour and cannot recommend it highly enough. I called the company the morning of my flight and they were very upfront about the weather conditions, explaining that winds might affect whether they could fly. They told me they would make the call closer to the 1:30 PM departure time, which I really appreciated. Around noon they called to let me know the flight was on. They also gave me the option to postpone since I had an extra couple of days in the area and could have potentially rescheduled, but they were honest that there was no guarantee conditions would be better. I decided to go for it, and I am very glad I did. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short three minute drive from my Airbnb. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional. There were a few other passengers joining, and we flew in a larger turboprop aircraft that can carry around 10 or 11 people, which felt very comfortable. Before departure, the captain came out to introduce himself, gave a clear safety briefing, and answered questions. They were also happy to take photos by the plane for anyone who wanted, which was a really nice touch. When the pilot asked if anyone wanted to sit in the copilot seat, I volunteered, which made the experience even more memorable. Once airborne, the flight lasted somewhere between about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half. Turbulence was minimal and never uncomfortable. The views were truly unbelievable. We flew very close to mountain ridges, massive granite walls, glaciers, and dramatic terrain that you simply cannot appreciate from the ground. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable and explained the geography, glaciers, and features along the way in a clear and engaging way. You could tell he knew the area intimately and genuinely enjoyed sharing it. We returned around 3 PM, and from start to finish the experience was seamless, professional, and unforgettable. The views were out of this world, and the entire team was exceptionally friendly and kind. This was easily one of the highlights of my Alaska trip, and I would very highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.

If I could give more stars I would. I was so afraid of flying before this that I just grin and bear all flights as they are a necessity. However. Under the care of this team I was moved to tears by the flight. Chad and his crew really looked after us as did the ground crew. It was well worth the drive from Anchorage and the drive back. Highly recommended **********

While I was anxious about participating alone, I was lucky to have two people on board. Unfortunately, the Denali summit was a bit gassy, but we had a great experience with the flight tour as scheduled on the pre-booked date and time. During this period (mid-September to mid-May), the rail system was irregular, making it somewhat of a hurdle for the only way to get from Anchorage to the area to be by taxi or rental car.
