I paid the group lesson rate and lucked out and got one on one instruction with a really friendly knowledgeable guy. Would positively recommend. Kahalu'u is shallow enough that you can touch your tippy these. You're not supposed to because it's protected coral, but it put my mind at ease.

It was a great experience. Great instructor. I was nervous at first, but got used to it pretty quickly. The best time for a novice like me. If you're unsure Google it. About an hour after low tide.

The entire family loved it. The kids rated it as the highlight of their
trip to Hawaii. All guides were friendly and professional . They took grest care fitting everone with the correct gear. All explanations and demonstrations were clear for adults and kids.
