Wonderful way to see the sites of Carmel-by-the-Sea as well as Pebble Beach. I did an excellent job at providing historical perspectives, and is very knowledgeable and unable to answer all our questions.

You will ride from our bike shop in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and explore cottages throughout Carmel. Passing several local historic sites, you will ride down the Carmel coastline along Scenic Drive; a one-way, 15-mile per hour road. You’ll pass landmarks such as the Tor House, Butterfly House, Carmel River State Beach, Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch, and the Carmel Mission, one of the most authentically restored Catholic mission churches in California. The minimum for a non-private tour to operate is 4 people. If you reserve a tour date and we have less than 4 people sign up for the tour then we reserve the right to cancel the tour with a full refund, or convert the tour to a private guided tour (additional rates apply), or combine the tour with another tour at a different time that day, or convert the tour to a standard rental reservation (no tour guide). These options will be reviewed with the customer for their approval 24 hours before the reservation.

My husband and I took the E Bike tour through the cottages, coast, downtown and State park. Leslie was fantastic! Energetic, kind, encouraging, knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the town of Carmel and the extensive history. The length of time for the tour was perfect. We got more than what we paid for in admission! The entire experience was top notch- from friendly service at the shop, fitting us for a bike and a relaxing and enjoyable experience, we would recommend this tour to any and all! Thank you!

Our dog really enjoyed his time in the side car! He is a lab/55 lbs and still felt comfortable. I had fun using the electric throttle to take him through town. The staff were extremely friendly and answered questions ahead of time. I wish I had some digital photos, but our photographer used film, so I will upload those later!

Even though we were 15 min late (there are 2 Mad Dog bike tour locations, one in Monterey and one Carmel-by-the-sea!!! Had no idea!) the tour guide Isaiah helped us out and was our private tour guide! He did a great job, made us very comfortable on our bikes and on the tour!
