If you want to get a broad, very detailed tour of Miami, from its historical beginnings to the present and how everything is tied together, look no further than this walking tour. Our guide Kim was outstanding. Highly recommended 👍👍

Our recent Downtown Miami walking tour exceeded all our expectations. We thought of Miami as a relatively new/modern city and had no idea of the real history until this tour. Our guide, Kim, led us through downtown's vibrant and emerging areas to reveal not only the surprising history of the city (we visited 10 of the 15 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places and a pre-historic archaeological site) but the unbelievable development happening there now. It was fascinating to see how the downtown area is going through yet another transformation with multi-billion-dollar projects in the works and once blighted areas now filled with young professionals and the occasional tourist. This tour is off-the-beaten path at its best, so don't expect everything to be touristy pretty, you will go through areas not yet "emerged" but that is what seeing the REAL Miami is all about. We felt this tour does an excellent job of exploring the city's rich heritage through its historical buildings and we really gained a deeper appreciation for its vibrant International culture through the places and people we encountered. I highly recommend this downtown walking tour to anyone seeking an engaging and enriching experience that features unbelievable architecture, art, information and for those wanting to get away from the tourist crowds.
