If you're visiting Minneapolis and are into ghosts, history, or just looking for something unique to do, I highly recommend the Graveyard Ghost Hunt with Minneapolis Trolley Tours. I was visiting from out of town with my 14-year-old daughter, who is absolutely fascinated with ghosts, and this tour exceeded all of our expectations! I wasn’t much of a believer going into the tour, but I’m definitely a believer now! Our tour guide was AMAZING—so knowledgeable about Minneapolis and its history, particularly downtown buildings and events. He had a contagious laugh and knew exactly how to keep everyone engaged, making the whole experience super fun. You could tell he was incredibly passionate about ghosts and communicating with them, which made the tour even more enjoyable. We visited two graveyards, and the second one had the most insane amount of EMF readings and communication activity. I’ve never used devices like the spirit box or EMF meters before, but it was wild! We got the clearest, most direct responses. One of the most memorable moments was when we were standing near the grave of a little girl named Izzy, who had passed away at the age of 4. The spirit box kept repeating her name over and over—it was crazy. We also visited a grave marked with "John" and received clear responses from a male voice through the spirit box. On top of that, we used dowsing rods, and they were so active, answering our questions as we held them. Now, I will say, I can’t guarantee your tour will be as active or your graveyard visit will be super eventful, but even if things had been quieter, I would have still loved the experience just for the historical insights and learning about the sites. The history of these places and the stories behind the events were fascinating, and I would’ve been happy with that alone. But the fact that we had all this amazing ghostly activity? Total bonus!
