We took a private bourbon trail tour with Mint Julep Experiences in Louisville, and it was fantastic. This was my husband’s and my third trip on the bourbon trail and our second time using this company. It was my daughter’s and son-in-law’s first trip, and Mint Julep made it a great experience for everyone.
The drivers are professional, knowledgeable, and well prepared. They call the day before, text you with contact information, arrive on time, and even have water ready for you. Everything feels organized and easy from the start.
We did two days of touring. On the first day, we had Stan. He was laid back, easygoing, and a lot of fun to spend the day with. He was very flexible with our schedule, and even though we didn’t have a lunch stop scheduled by choice because I was trying to fit in as much as possible, he found a way to work in a place for us to sit down and eat while still keeping us on schedule. It made the day enjoyable and stress-free.
On the second day, we were with Cindy, and it was a more relaxed day, just what we wanted. We wanted to spend extra time at Maker’s Mark, which is my favorite distillery on the trail. We needed to adjust timing and make a few changes, and she helped us do that without any stress. She even helped us squeeze in one extra stop and made sure the rest of the day still flowed well. She was kind, flexible, and fun to spend the day with.
We learned so much from both Stan and Cindy, not just about the distilleries but about the history behind bourbon. Even if you don’t drink bourbon, the history is fascinating.
I also want to mention Anna, who made this entire trip possible. She was our main contact, and over six months she helped plan everything, made suggestions, stayed on top of reservations, and worked with me through several last-minute changes. She truly helped tailor the trip so it worked for everyone in our group.
We will absolutely be back, and we will definitely use Mint Julep Experiences again. They make the bourbon trail experience safe, smooth, and genuinely fun.

Abby was very helpful in planning our trip. Our guide Stan was excellent and made the trip fun, engaging and got us everywhere in style. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I also appreciated his communications the day before, to confirm details and provide some recommendations for Thursday night places to eat as we got into town.
Very pleased with Mint Julep Tours and will make sure to use them again in the future!

Did a private tour of Four Roses, Wild Turkey, and Willett. Our drive and tour guide, Jerry, was outstanding. He was able to make a couple adjustments on the fly to expand our experience. A great tour with a great guy. Would definitely book again with him as our driver.
