Lovely home and enjoyable trip. Awesome to be able to step back in time and experience something from times past. The audio guide was a plus. 😀

Guests see magnificently restored furnishings and decor in the home of the W.L. Moody, Jr. Moody built a fortune in some 50 entities, including insurance, banking, hotels, newspapers, cotton, railroads, ranching and others. At the time of his death he was among America's 10 wealthiest people. He established the Moody Foundation and his daughter established the Mary Moody Northen Endowment, charitable foundations which today support environmental, educational, social service, and historical projects.

It was a great experience I loved learning abt the history of Galveston and the families that lived here and still do. The fact you walk at your pace and explored yourself was nice and being able to listen to the history behind the mansion while doing so

I recommend this tour. It’s a beautiful home. It’s also a very affordable tour and you can take your time doing it. Staff (Bobbi and Brenda) are very friendly and open to any of your questions.

Enjoyable tour of a historic home. This tour had been recommended by friends, and it did not disappoint. Once inside the home, you will be amazed by the craftsmanship and details of the construction.

This was wonderful, stepping back in time! The mansion is perfectly preserved, and so very interesting to visit. Defiantly a very peaceful few hours for adults, not much for children, however the lower floors house a children's museum, which was not open the day we visited.
