The museum was amazing! It definitely warrants a second or 3rd trip. So much to see. We were there about 6 hrs and still probably only saw about half.

Visiting the National WWII Museum was one of the most powerful and humbling experiences of our trip to New Orleans. This is not just a museum. It is a deeply moving tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of an entire generation.
The exhibits are thoughtfully and respectfully curated, bringing history to life through personal stories, artifacts, and numerous videos that allow you to hear directly from those who lived it. Walking through the galleries feels like stepping into the past and gaining a profound appreciation for the immense cost of freedom.
The Beyond All Boundaries film is extraordinary and absolutely worth the price of admission. It is immersive, emotional, and at times overwhelming in the most meaningful way. You leave with a renewed sense of gratitude for those who served and sacrificed.
Plan to spend a large portion of your day here. There is so much to absorb, reflect on, and honor. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be on your feet for most of the visit and seating is limited, but every step feels worthwhile.

The museum exhibits shows and explains the history of WWII . The personal stories are heartbreaking and heartwarming. If you have a realitve or loved one who was involved in the war, I recommend you visit. The movie that Tom Hanks is involved in is worth seeing .
