What an unforgettable experience! We took a redeye flight and arrived early in the morning for our snorkeling adventure in Crystal River — and Captain John and his assistant made it absolutely worth it. Even though it was the off-season for manatees, Captain John went above and beyond to make sure we got the experience we came for. He explored every canal and scoured the seawalls until we finally found one — our dream come true! Captain John and his assistant were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in giving us the best possible adventure. Along the way, Captain John shared fascinating facts and local history about the manatees and the area. On our way back, we were treated to an incredible sight — a mother manatee with her baby, and another little one along the seawall. It was truly the highlight of our trip! Getting up close to these gentle, beautiful creatures was such an honor (and yes — we have to agree, they really do look like giant potatoes! 🥔💙).
