Go in the spring. It was fun with Eli. He gave some great facts and made the trip a blast. The weather was fabulous.

What a wonderful day. In late September, the rapids are a class 1 and 2 which is PERFECT in 80 degree weather with 6 other new friends and Raven as our guide. It was so PLEASANT. We had a moments of rapids with getting wet, but mostly calm floating(like river tubing) and FANTASTIC scenery. Raven was the perfect host, expertly guiding the boat so it slowly circled down the river with no one side being the front all the time. He had great stories and information. I really just emphasize how pleasant it was. At this time of year, this is not the trip for adventure. The water was chilly, but after being in the sun for several hours, it felt great to plop in and and float along with the boat awhile. We were the only couple who did a full day float, and I highly recommend it because the first half and second half are so different. The website says there is a buffet lunch, but no....instead we had a basket of really good healthy chips, fruit, and brownies with a VERY GOOD Caesar Salad chicken wrap. It was plenty of food and seconds were offered. I loved today. After all the hard, red, rock climbing it was great to get on the water and just mellow and float. My only wish was that I brought along a few light beers......Raven was the best guide!

This was a fun trip. The rapids were not very challenging, which is what we wanted. They might be higher at other times of the year. Bring sunscreen and some kind of long sleeve shirt, as you will be very exposed to the sun throughout the trip we did the full day trip. If you do a half day, do the afternoon, as that was a more interesting segment of the river.

Looking for an easy ride down the Colorado River this is it! As they said, Level 1 rapids but Level 5 scenery. This did not disappoint! Our guide was great and made for an enjoyable day. Rapids were small, so great trip for most ages. They serve lunch and have water tight boxes onboard to store your bags.

If rafting is new to you, this is your best introduction. The people are diligent in safety, helping you relax and knowledgeable of the river and history in the area. We did the full day trip entry level for lack of a better term. Initially we were briefed on safety and exactly what the different aspects of the river would be. There were no surprises! The first half of our day was with Annie, a delightful young woman who provided commentary and her experiences on the river. She said this is her first year and it's obvious she has embraced being a guide and takes her responsibility to heart. The second half of our day we were served chicken roll ups with a vinegarette made of cranberries, delicious! There was fresh fruit and assorted chips etc. After lunch, Jacob again focused on safety issues and off we went. He shared multiple stories, facts of navigating the river and much history. His ability, knowledge and personality all contributed to a day of enjoyment on the river. This was a class I-2 excursion and between Annie and Jacob it was simply a wonderful day.
