Gomez was a great guide and did a great job weaving the history of the founding of New Orleans into how Voodoo was created and the impact in the area as well. This tour is perfect for kids that are interested in history and not sensitive to and spooky content and going into a Vooddoo shop. And content that discusses the truth behind the slave trade and some of the brutality of it. Important to Learn in my opinion. What age that is different for each child.

This was not a spooky, dark tour. It was an illumination of what voodoo is - and isn't. Marie Laveau and her daughter (also Marie Laveau) probably changed New Orleans history and this tour was a really interesting and engaging way to learn how they did that. Thanks, Gomez!! (But, seriously, be prepared for that 2nd Line experience πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„)

D.J. was a great guide. He's very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. He was very encouraging of questions and spoke loud enough we could hear him in the back. Highly recommend.
