I learned a lot about both how to make a couple dishes and the history behind them. Our instructor was very entertaining. The food was really good too. I was expecting just a small taste, but we practically got a full meal. Highly recommend!

HIGHLY recommend! Michael was so knowledgeable and funny, and I so appreciated the history lesson. It’s always great when you can have fun and learn. And hands down, the best gumbo I’ve ever had!!

The experience (with instructor Lynn!) vastly exceeded our expectations. She reminded me of a Food Network host. Very likable, talented, and explained ingredients / techniques in simple-to-understand language ... all while doing it with a terrific sense of humor and 'feel' for her audience. The menu she prepared - each and every dish - was deliciously outstanding. But for me, the most impressive thing she did (DURING class-not before) was prepare special versions of gumbo and jambalaya for me and others who have Alpha-gal (the red meat allergy). While she was making them, she explained how to cook the chicken (replacing andouille sausage) and make other adjustments in such a way that these dishes turn out nearly identical to the standard versions. I was beyond impressed - and thrilled that I got to eat some favorite Cajun foods that I hadn't enjoyed in a long time!

Lynn our chef not only showed us wonderful cooking but the history of the New Orleans history in a fun way! We not only learned cooking but history. The food was wonderful! We enjoyed warm biscuits, jambalaya, gumbo, bread pudding, and pralines. We were even served a nice chilled beer! Lynn was fantastic! She listened to the audience and served up great humor and laughs! Don’t miss this fun time when you visit!!!
