My husband and I love taking tours when we travel because we like to hear real, human stories beyond what is written in a guidebook. If you agree, this is the tour for you. Steve has lived in Greenwich Village for decades and he has a story for every year, from visiting rock bands to AIDS to the end of rent control. It was great to hear a local's perspective on the neighborhood and how it changed over the years. I also love that, despite being a Baby Boomer, he focused his talks repeatedly on feminism, gay rights, economic issues and how the effect the communities around us. The tour went an hour over and I could easily have listened to Steve's stories for another hour.
