This tour was so much fun. Vanna was our hostess and she was such a vibrant interesting story teller. I learned so much from her and now I'm Charleston obsessed! It feels like every building, every corner, every tree has a story to tell. And Vanna is the gal to tell it.

Your pirate guide will lead the group on a 2.5-hour walking tour through historic downtown Charleston. You will begin and end at a bar, each housed in historic buildings with their own unique ghosts and stories. Guests will have time to purchase and enjoy a delicious libation as the guide tells them all about the fascinating history of Charleston and some of its most famous and creepy haunted stories! Please keep in mind that there will be a lot of walking between drinks stops where your guide will share the haunted history of several landmarks along the way. Fun experience. Vanna was very energetic and she engaged the group. A little more history would be great, and it felt rushed at times because we were running behind. Otherwise a good time!

Vana was awesome. Not only did we have great ghost stories and history but we also went to some of the coolest bars in Charleston. This was the best overall tour we have done in a long time.

I’ve been on 10+ ghost tours across the country and had very high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. For a 2.5-hour tour, we barely covered anything of substance. We never stepped foot inside a graveyard — only saw two from the outside — and didn’t really hear any specific stories tied to them. Instead, we got quick stops with instructions on how to take pictures in case we saw orbs. The walking itself wasn’t the issue (it is a walking tour), but the guide made it difficult. Vanna walked ahead of most of the group with her back to us and didn’t use any sort of speaker, so unless you were right next to her, you couldn’t hear anything. As a result, across the whole tour we heard maybe an handful of actual stories. She was very enthusiastic and friendly though. What I expect from a good ghost tour is something like “in this house, this happened,” or “buried here is someone with an interesting story.” Instead, this felt like long stretches of walking with very little information, not even enough to call it a decent historical tour. Overall, just not much of anything. I wouldn’t recommend it.
