Kids, ages 16&13 along with my husband visited. They loved it! Probably the favorite spot visited on our north shore trip. Definitely will be going back next time!

We are the only climbing and zipline course built into a forest in the state. You are surrounded by woods and have views of Lake Superior too. The course is perfect for people with varying abilities since you choose how hard you want to work. We are easy to reach with a location close to the main road. Plus, we are in the midst of the best hiking, state parks, and beaches on the North Shore. It is easy to make a full day or weekend of a visit here. We accept more than 100 climbers per day but only 20 climbers each half hour. We welcome big groups as long as we can schedule them.

Departure Point

  • Turn at the intersection of Highway 61 and Outer Drive at the stoplight. Turn into the driveway toward the blue shed. Continue on the paved road that is parallel to Hwy 61. You will see a big sign to enter on a fence on your left.

This place is great!! I have not done an outdoor climbing course before but have zip lined. The course was tough but I’m 50 years old but a daily walker and do some yoga(balance) so take that for what it’s worth. I wasn’t able to do the hardest level and my 14 year old could only do the first 4 sections. We were just too tired from the lower level. A worker said in the last 6 weeks or so, only 12 people completed the black level. Good luck!! A couple words of advice *BRING WATER- it was only about 70 degrees but we sweated a lot! There’s a wire rack where we were able keep our bottles. I also kept my keys and phone there so I felt it was safe enough but it wasn’t very busy either. BUY GLOVES AHEAD OF TIME- you have to have gloves in my opinion. They seemed like there were like gardening gloves with rubber on the back of the fingers and the palms. Save $6/pair. See picture. WEAR STUEDY SHOES!! Wear hiking shoes or sturdy tennis shoes. I would not recommend crocs or sandal keens. WEAR A BANDANA- I sweat a lot. I wish I would have worn a head band on my forehead. GO EARLY- both for the cooler temperature and there were less people when we went. Have fun!!
