This is a two hour walking tour of the South End of Central Park. America’s First Landscaped park and the third largest park in New York City. Hear about Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. Learn about what their vision for the park was over the years and how it evolved as the park was built. The tour begins by the Pulitzer Fountain across the street from the Plaza hotel. From there we will make our way through the park stopping at places Including Wollman Rink, Central Park Zoo, Gapstow Bridge, The Dairy, The Carousel,The Mall, Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, Sheeps Meadow, Bow Bridge, Strawberry Fields, Imagine Mosaic and The Dakota. Along the way see filming locations from some of your favorite movies and tv shows. The tour ends at The Dakota on West 72 Street and Central Park West.
