Alana was an amazing tour guide! The Ohana Ranch was beautiful and the pace of the tour was perfect for our family. We loved planting the taro root to be part of the land. Mahalo!

Just minutes from Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, this 2-hour UTV tour takes you beyond the typical sights and into the heart of the Big Island. Ride through wide-open pastures, lush jungle trails, and muddy paths perfect for splashing, all while exploring hidden backroads most visitors never see. Along the way, your local guide will share stories about native plants, offer a taste of wild guava, and help you spot free-roaming farm animals. You’ll also stop at our Culture Center to plant your own ti plant—a Hawaiian symbol of good luck and protection—leaving a living connection to the island that grows long after your visit. I had a truly wonderful time with Alana! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable from the very beginning. Her passion and energy turned the whole experience into something unforgettable. She made sure we were safe, well cared for, and most importantly — that we were having fun!

Fun couple hours exploring a small ranch just outside hilo. It is a guided route at a pace that allows all skill levels to enjoy the experience. Saw a few cows, goats, mongoose, and pigs. Stopped to learn about puna coffee, kalo plants, eat guava, and wild raspberries. As with all offroad adventures, anticipate getting a little dusty or muddy depending on recent weather. Great tour at ohana ranch.
