John was great. The lunch at the Jamestown Museum was great. Highly recommend the Ruben. Best Ruben I've had in a long time. The tour and our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable about the area and even shared stories that weren't necessarily a part of the tour but very entertaining and interesting. Highly recommend.

This is The Historic Triangle Tour. Travel with a local back in time and also in chronological order. We will spend the first part of our day in the 1600's and the second half in the 1700's. This is where the country began, you will see and learn history from a local. We start our day at Jamestown, the beginning 1607 with a guided tour. Our lunch stop will be next at the cafe which is owned by a local restaurant where we will have an included meal which can be colonial style if preferred. After lunch we travel into the 1700's with a battlefield tour and finishing up at the Revolutionary War Museum.

A disappointing experience from the historical and information perspective. It seems that Matt the regular guide was not available for the day. John, his self identified stand. In , was pleasant and good fun but his knowledge of the history around the key topics of Colonial settlement and the American Revolution was very limited. He tried to compensate by being very friendly and up beat but he was clearly struggling on the historiography of the sites we were visiting. The time allocated at each stop was not ideal and was out of step with the published timing because of a wrong turning. We had a pleasant time and the locations included more than enough exploration and we were able to gain some good insight at each stop through information provided and the re - enactors present. It’s a pity that the tour itself contributed very little to that. Earlier reviews had stressed this element of the tour, so we were really disappointed when this failed to appear.

Tour guide Matt was excellent. Good leader and taught us a ton of colonial history. The pace was just right, the lunch was satisfying.

Excellent tour! A fun day and learned a lot - saw things we would never have seen on our own. Guide/driver was great! Comfortable coach bus. Moderate amount of walking. Lunch included.
