It was a Wonderful performance. Kids loved the fire dancing. The food was Great also. We highly recommend

Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Really enjoyed the story telling and the theatrics behind it. Beautifully done! Food was ok. But I don’t go to Luaus for the food as much as the “theatre”. We really enjoyed the local vendors area where high quality local items were sold. Drinks were great!

Nice family experience, beautiful story through dance. Organized, so getting food at buffet wasn't crowded or a long wait.

It’s worth the little bit extra to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. The train ride was a lovely way to start the evening.

Luau Kalamaku at the Historic Kilohana Plantation in Lihue is a beautiful, authentic Hawaiian experience set on a stunning 104-acre property. The hula performances and storytelling were meaningful and engaging, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the buffet offered a great variety of traditional dishes. Everything is included in one price, making it easy, and well worth it.
