The first federally designated National Scenic Area, and a well-run multi-agency area for recreation.


Stop At: Portland Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint, State Highway 30, Troutdale, OR 97060

This is where you'll start biking, with its expansive views up dozens of miles of the Columbia river and the gorge.

You'll bike the gentle downhill to this beautiful visitor's center perched high above the gorge with its marble walls and photography and history exhibits

The first major waterfall on our tour. Here's where we do the optional 2 mile hike along the lush trail up to Upper Latourell Falls

A short 1/4 mile hike along a native plant rich path brings you to the falls

The falls are a 200 yard walk up the hill and the stream pours down the hill to the parking lot over picturesque moss covered rocks.

Multnomah Falls is the most-visited natural recreation site in the northwestern united states. At over 600 feet tall, it is a majestic wonder.

We'll pause to view the towering walls of this mysterious slot canyon and the jumble of logs blocking its entrance.

The final falls on "waterfall alley" and the only one you can get close enough to get in if you like!
