Our original tour was cancelled so we were upgraded to a full day tour around the island of Oahu. This was an excellent tour and our tour guide (Garfield) was awesome. He was extremely helpful and full of knowledge of Oahu. We had a great day and can recommend the pineapple icecream. We highly recommend this tour.

Tour bus did not show up. Apparently cancelled at last minute, even though we had confirmed 24+ hours prior.

We never got to go on the tour. We booked through Viator who were great and would certainly use them again. However, Polynesian Adventure Tours could do a lot to improve their business operations and ensure customers have a positive experience. I provided the following feedback and the response I received demonstrated that they could care less. So I figured I will post here so other folks are aware and hoping that tour companies will take this feedback seriously and consider customer experience. I was told to wait at the Hilton islander for the tour bus. I followed the signs and waited where all other tour buses were stopping. 5 minutes passes from my pick up time so I called customer service. It took several minutes before someone answered. I asked them where I should wait and they were not sure. By then they advised that the bus already left and we lost our fee since no other tour was available during our visit in Hawaii. I feel the business should walk through the pick up points to understand what the customer would see and check if the instructions are clear. They could have also offered us to meet up and catch up with the bus. The customer service representative could have been more knowledgeable on where we should wait. They had 2 phone numbers on file and could have called any of them to get us on the tour. A little effort by the business could've made the experience much better.

I booked this tour because it was reasonably priced and a way to get away from the resort for an afternoon. My expectations were not really very high, but everyone in my party was greatly surprised and delighted with this tour. There were ample opportunities to get out and take photos and the best part of the afternoon was the narration of our guide Uncle Ernie. He knows everything about everyone and everything associated with Hawaii, it seems, and the jokes and playful banter between him and the group had everyone literally rolling on the floor of the minibus. He gave me a great tip about pre-ordering my Prime Rib at Duke's Waikiki when we made our dinner reservations because they run out. We could have driven around a parking lot for 4 hours and it would have still been great as long as Uncle Ernie was narrating. Throw in the sites and knowledge and this tour was a real treat.
