We had a fantastic experience on this tour with our family and couldn’t recommend it more. From start to finish, everything was seamless! Our tour guide, Rachel, was absolutely outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the history of Richmond, which made the stories and details come alive. We learned so much and stayed engaged the entire time. The trolley ride itself was great as well! KP, our driver, was excellent and made the ride comfortable and enjoyable. It was the perfect way to see the city while soaking in its rich history. Overall, a wonderful experience for all ages and a must-do if you want to truly understand Richmond’s past.

A friend and I traveled to Williamsburg first. We had reserved the trolley for Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. On Dec. 9 we were informed the tour was cancelled due to to some side streets being affected by snow on Dec. 8. We were rescheduled for the same time on Dec. 11 so we completely changed our travel plans to accommodate. Then, we were informed on Dec. 10 that because not enough people signed up for the rescheduled tour on the 11th, it was also cancelled. We left on Dec. 12 and didn’t get to take the tour. Although I have asked, to date I have not received notification that our money has been refunded.

Daniel was awesome, can't say enough about his knowledge and obvious passion for the subject. The trip was full of wonderful facts, things I didn't know and I'm a history nerd. There was one stop on the trolley in Libby Park, otherwise, it's a trolley ride throughout Richmond which provides a great opportunity to view major parts of the city. More importantly, because of Daniel, we added two things to do on our trip A+

Melissa was our guide and KP was our driver. I used to drive a bus, so let me tell you, sitting right behind her, I could see that KP did an excellent job, even in tight spaces. Melissa was fun to listen to and gave us a lot of historical information about the area. 10/10 If you are visiting Richmond on the James, take this tour. It will also give you ideas about other things to visit while you’re in Richmond. I should have taken this tour long ago while visiting my friend.
