We are the only business that offers guided trail rides on horseback in close proximity to downtown Louisville. Our rides take you through some of the best scenery that Kentucky has to offer! You will ride through tall grasses, along wooded trails, follow sparkling streams and traverse up and down a few hills. All with an experienced guided watching you and your horse for safety and entertainment. Our rides are small and generally private parties so no impersonal guide throwing you on a horse and wishing you luck! There is no experience required to ride our trails, we will help you learn the ropes and have a great time!
Itinerary
Whether you have never ridden before, or you're an experienced rider, Red Fern Riding Center will provide you with a safe, fun, guided horseback ride atop our trusty steeds. Enjoy our 25 scenic wooded horseback riding trails that cover this 462-acre property. We provide 1 hour tours out on the trails located at Shelby Trails Park. Our appointments are 1.5 hours to allow for saddle fitting and a short introductory riding lesson - to be sure your are safe and feel comfortable. Our rides are small and generally private parties. We can accommodate groups up to 5 riders. Rides are $50 per person.
