This was not worth the money. I’ve been on many food tours while traveling, and this did not measure up. There was a lot of walking and very little food. We might have been given 10-15 minutes at each food stop to eat A SMALL SAMPLE OF A FOOD ITEM, and then we were walking again. There was no time to sit, enjoy, and socialize. At one stop we weren’t even given a plate for our sample taco, but were subjected to the owner’s marketing speech. I do not recommend this tour.

Come hungry! There were 6 eateries, and while you got small servings at each one, by the end of the tour we were full! Erin, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Newport’s history, which she shared with us, charming, and kept the tour running on time. While all the eateries were very good, our favourite eateries were Newport Chowder Company, where we had a lovely seafood chowder and Stoneacre Garden where we had Yellowfin tuna taco in fried wonton shell with avocado crema. The add on alcoholic beverage option was worth the extra cost.
