The Captain of this ship made the trip very memorable and fun. Natalie is fantastic at her job, and as professional as they come. Really appreciated the historical commentary.

With the world-renowned and historic destination of Kealakekua Bay just minutes from our point of departure, the Captain Cook Exclusive is a personal, exciting, and efficient way to see the Bay named one of the world’s best snorkeling locations. Kealakekua Bay is a 315-acre marine sanctuary that boasts incredibly protected waters year round making it the best place in Hawaii for beginning snorkelers. After a full hour of snorkeling in the crystal clear waters directly in front of the monument to Captain James Cook, you make your way back to Keauhou Bay along the South Kona coastline. Your Captain maneuvers our custom-made vessels into the sea caves at the base of Hualalai, hugging the coast and detailing the culturally significant and geologically fascinating features along the way. We had a really wonderful time on this tour. Sam, our Captain and Eli, her crew, were terrific. Sam was especially great for sharing her knowledge of the area. The snorkeling was also wonderful and even though we had a full boat, they made it easy and comfortable. It was a great day.

We had an amazing time snorkeling with a small group (no more than 14), traveling on a shaded boat to the Captain Cook monument. B and MJ were thoughtful of all of our needs, guided us to the best spot to snorkel - breathtaking sea life and coral! - and then showed us lava and sea caves along the coast. We highly recommend Sea Quest!

Absolutely amazing experience! 🌊 We loved our first snorkel tour so much that we booked a second one right away. We did the 3-hour afternoon tour with Captain B and Taylor, and then two days later the 4.5-hour morning tour with Taylor and Captain MJ. Both were incredible! The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and shared so many interesting stories about the island. After snorkeling we were treated to fresh fruit, and on the longer tour even a delicious lunch. Everything was perfectly organized and so much fun. I’ll definitely recommend Sea Quest and can’t wait to go again. Mahalo! 🌺🐠✨

This was a fantastic excursion! It was awesome to have an all female crew (Bea and Taylor rocked it).. the boat ride to the bay was fast and fun. The group was fairly small at 13.. I appreciated the boat had a shade cover. The snorkeling was awesome… tons of beautiful fish.. I took the afternoon tour and there were only two other tour boats in the bay. I enjoyed learning about the history of captain cook and his encounters with the native Hawaiians. On the way back we stopped to check out some lava tubes and the goddess pele natural lava rock formation.. definitely a great tour for the cost. We also got snacks of fresh fruit and chips and juice.. excellent friendly customer service, highly recommend! Don’t forget some cash to tip your crew!
