After my visit to Moritis Shin Dentistry of Seattle, we decided to check out Smith Tower, just a short 6-minute drive south — and it was such a fun experience! This is one of Seattle’s true gems, full of history and character. The old manual elevators, the vintage décor, and that 360° observatory view make it a must-see. I especially loved how you can spot everything from Mt. Rainier to Elliott Bay. We grabbed a cocktail at the bar on top and enjoyed one of the best panoramic views in the city. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Step into the past with updated historical exhibits, now featuring a fascinating collection of Smith Typewriters—an homage to the Tower’s namesake legacy. Follow your favorite characters through immersive audio/visual displays and interactive elements as you journey through over a century of history. Make your way up to the 35th Floor Observatory, where sweeping 360-degree views of Seattle await on the open-air deck. Then settle in for prohibition-inspired craft cocktails and shareable plates with friends or loved ones. And before you go, don’t forget to make a wish in the legendary Wishing Chair—it’s the perfect photo op to remember your visit to Smith Tower.

Great value and great views! The building in itself is pretty cool. There is a small exhibit giving some history. Once you get to the top floor, you enter to a lounge/bar area, then you exit to the view area and it’s quite breathtaking. You can see it all from there, even MT Rainier. It’s amazing and what a great price!
