Our perimeter tour is an alternative to visiting the interior of the fort. Your forty-five minute experience will encircle the entire structure while providing the entire history of the defense of the city of St. Augustine.
Many visitors to our city want to avoid enclosed areas and tight crowded situations. This tour was created with those situations in mind. Experience the fort from the outside. Learn the progression of the construction of the fort, see pictures of the interior structures not visible from the outside and hear the true history of the fort, its noble times and its dark times.
This experience is designed as both an enhancement to those who will visit the interior of the fort or those looking to avoid long lines and crowded conditions, but still wishing to learn the history and the secrets of the nation's oldest masonry structure.
Spyglass travel is licensed by the National Park Service to conduct tours on the grounds of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.
