This tour was such a good experience! It’s a long day, but totally worth it to see all the sights like the peninsula and black sand beach and all the waterfalls along the road to Hana! It was a relief not having to do any of the driving. We had Quinn as our guide, and he was very friendly right from the beginning. He greeted everyone with aloha and gave us some options regarding what we wanted to learn about as the tour progressed. He was very knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and culture, and also knew a lot about the native flora. He also made sure to offer water and bathroom breaks whenever we had a stop, which was super nice. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience on this tour and I would book again!

Major Maui Hotel's pickups included. We provide food and beverages. Fresh locally grown fruit and deli sandwiches of your choice (ham, turkey or veggie) will be served at the beautiful Wainapanapa state park. During the creation of Maui’s volcanic landscape these served like the veins of the volcano, channeling lava for many miles underground before being deposited as new landmass (in this case, into the ocean.) After a volcano has been dormant for some time, these tubes usually begin to cave in and disappear under the forces of nature. Since much of the surface of Maui formed long ago, we have few lava tubes of significant size remaining; Ka’eleku Cave is the largest known accessible lava tube on Maui.Duration: Not AvailableStop At: Waiʻānapanapa State ParkHana, HI 96713located within Hana Bay is Hana Beach Park, which has a long black-sand beach and is the safest swimming beach along the East Maui coast. This location is a great place to spend an hour relaxing, taking in one of the islands most beautiful locales. Simply stated, Wai’anapanapa State Park is among the very best of the Road to Hana sites. It offers outstanding nearly 360-degree sweeping panoramic views. On land, the hills and valleys of green jungle give way to rugged and dramatic black basalt lava coastline. Out to sea, the deep blue ocean and white cresting waves are dramatically blasted into spray and mist as they pound against the jagged cliffs.Duration: 1 hourStop At: Wailua Valley State Wayside Park14560 Hana Hwy, Kula, HawaiiPua'a Ka'a Falls (rolling pig) resides in the Pua’a Ka’a State Wayside Park, which made it one of the rare waterfalls on the Hana Highway. The area holds many ancient taro, or kalo, patches; a number of which are still in operation. In Hawaiian legend, taro is literally the older brother of all Hawaiians. And, so “Mahiʼaiʼana”, or cultivation of the land, is an ingrained principle that has endured for the people of Wailuanui.Duration: 10 minutesStop At: Kaumahina State Wayside ParkHana Hwy, Haiku, HawaiiThe beautiful view from this lookout point really gives you a sense of what ancient Hawaii must have looked and felt like. Marty, our tour guide did everything humanly possible to provide us a five star tour. The stops we made, the information he gave, his care about us as fellow travellers had our van full of strangers feeling like family. Safe driver, solicitous of needs. Beautiful tour PACKED with waterfalls, turtles, black sand, lush scenery, you name it. WELL WORTH a day of your vacation!! Thank you!!

Marty was an incredible tour guide! Picking us up bright and early in the morning. He was so welcoming and friendly right off the bat. Greeting both my husband and I by name. The van was very comfortable and well air conditioned the whole time (the listing was spot on). From the time we started the tour Marty was giving us his ‘fun facts’ the entire time speaking about the culture of Hawaii, the history of all the plants, fruits, people, food, drink, etc. you name it and Marty probably knows it!!! Not only was Marty an amazing tour guide he could start a side hustle as an IPhone photographer as well, taking the coolest photos of us! Throughout the drive we got so many cool photo opportunities and spending ample amounts of time at the stops along the way, between the famous banana bread from Sandy’s, fresh fruit on the side of the road, and all the waterfalls in-between, this tour has everything you need to have a great day!
