We are situated on a 5 mile long lake that is home to many migratory birds, Caribou, Moose, Brown Bear, Black Bear, and Wolverine. You will take a scenic flight from Talkeetna through the Alaska Range experiencing views of Denali and the glaciers of the Alaska Range. You will then land at Stephan Lake Lodge which is situated remotely on a 5 mile long lake. You will have a gourmet lunch on our beautiful deck overlooking the lake and then have a choice of a half day of fishing, half day of hiking, or boat ride on the lake for bird and wildlife viewing. Our lake is full of native lake trout as well as rainbow trout and grayling. We have many migratory birds that call the lake home throughout the summer including a large flock of Trumpeter Swans. There is always the opportunity for sightings of Brown Bear, Black Bear, Moose and Caribou around the lake. Our day hike is only 2 miles round trip and safe for travelers of all abilities. It offers the views of the Talkeetna mountains and the lake. Our luxury lodge is full service with heated floors and flushing toilets.
