Located within the Washington Park Arboretum, this is a 3.5 acre formal garden designed and constructed under the supervision of world-renowned Japanese garden designer Juki Iida in 1960.

Stop At: Houseboats Of Seattle | Iconic Floating Homes for Sale, 2609 1st Ave, Seattle, WA 98121, USA

Made famous by the movie "Sleepless in Seattle," the houseboats of Lake Union date back to the late 19th century as cheap shelter for laborers in the lumber and fishing industries. During the height of their popularity, approximately 4,000 houseboats rested on the waterways in and around Seattle!

Stop At: Museum of History & Industry, 860 Terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109-4330

Built at the old Naval Reserve Armory, MOHAI sits directly on the shore of South Lake Union. It is the best museum in the city for understanding Seattle's greater impact on the world at large.

Keep an eye out for the first commercial plane built by Boeing, artifacts from the 1889 Great Seattle Fire, the Petticoat Flag sewn by women during the 1856 Battle of Seattle, and the Rainier Brewing Company's 12-foot tall neon "R" sign.

This public waterfront operated by the Seattle Art Museum consists of a 9-acre outdoor sculpture museum, an indoor pavilion, and a beach on Puget Sound.

The structure began operation in 1881 and is the main attraction in Discovery Park.

West Point is the far end of the Magnolia neighborhood peninsula and features 270 degree views of the water, forests and mountains.

Stop At: Ballard Locks Visitor Center / Museum & Gift Shop, 3015 NW 54th St, Seattle, WA 98107-4213

The Ballard Locks connect the salt water of the Puget Sound to the fresh water of Lake Union and Lake Washington. It carries more boat traffic than any other lock in the U.S.

During spawning season you can visit the fish ladder observation room to see salmon swimming upstream. Hey Salmon! Look out for that Seal's mouth!!

This park sits on the land of the old Ballard City Hall which remained active until the neighborhood was incorporated into the city of Seattle in 1907. The park features benches, a bell tower and often live music!

Did you know Ballard at one point has more bars per square foot than anywhere West of the Mississippi??

What's a bridge without a Troll underneath to guard it?

If you look closely, this troll statue has its gigantic hand placed on top of an actual Volkswagen Beetle. Originally, the car held a time capsule which included a plaster bust of Elvis Presley. Sadly, Elvis was stolen when the sculpture was vandalized.

An old coal gasification plant converted to an award winning waterfront park. The Park still features much of the old machinery from the area's industrial history.
