ItineraryThis is a typical itinerary for this productStop At: Coloma, Coloma, CaliforniaThis whitewater adventure begins in the heart of the Coloma Lotus Valley in the foothills town of Coloma. Coloma is at the center of the California Gold Rush and one of California’s most historical areas. In 1848 James Marshal discovered Gold in the South Fork of the American River streambed. That discovery changed the world attracting over 300,000 people to California in the following years. Much of the history and creation of California as a state can be traced back to that single discovery of gold in Coloma Ca. Duration: 20 minutesStop At: Lotus, Lotus, CaliforniaMuch of the South Fork American River flows through the Coloma Lotus Valley and eventually leads into the Sacramento Valley. The river cuts through gorgeous California landscapes.Duration: 5 hoursStop At: Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, 7806 Auburn-Folsom Road, Folsom, CA 95630The South Fork American River river flows into and ends in Folsom Reservoir. During certain times of the year, the reservoir is high enough that it backs up into the river a mile or so. When the lake level is high our rafts need to be towed out this last portion with help from a jetski. Duration: 20 minutes

- A minimum of 4 people is required to run the tour. If your group is smaller than this number we will need to add you to an existing trip.

- What to wear:
- Near public transportation
- Most travelers can participate
- We ask that all guests dress to get wet! We recommend beach apparel: bathing suit, t-shirt, shorts. Quick drying, non-cotton clothes are preferred. You need to wear shoes that securely strap or tie to your feet: tennis shoes, water shoes, or river sandals (NO flip flops).
- During Spring, Fall, or cold weather trips we may provide wet suits and splash gear. Its recommended for you to also bring along a warm layer. Fleece, polypropylene, wool, and Under Armor are all good options.
- Whitewater rafting is an active, outdoor, adventure sport.
- All participants must be in good health and weigh no more than 250 lbs. If anyone in the group is over 250lbs or has any medical conditions, please call (530) 587-5777 to discuss your booking.
