We booked a flightseeing tour of Denali with Talkeetna Air Taxi and were incredibly impressed with the entire operation from start to finish. As aircraft owners ourselves, we came in with high expectations regarding safety, communication, and transparency — and TAT exceeded them all.
From the moment we checked in, the staff was professional, informative, and completely upfront about the weather conditions that day. The team took the time to walk us through the flight plan, explain what we might see, and answer our detailed questions with patience and clarity. Their honesty and depth of experience gave us real confidence in their judgment.
The aircraft was clean and well-maintained, and the pilot was excellent — knowledgeable, calm, and clearly seasoned in Alaska’s challenging terrain and weather. Though visibility turned out to be limited that day, it was clear the flight crew was doing everything they could to maximize safety and the overall experience.
What really stood out was how respectful and easy to work with the whole team was. They weren’t just focused on pushing flights out — they genuinely wanted us to have a meaningful and enjoyable trip. It’s rare to see that kind of integrity and customer care in a tourism setting, especially when weather is a wildcard.
Even though the conditions weren’t what we’d hoped for, we left with total respect for Talkeetna Air Taxi. Their professionalism, well-run operation, and commitment to doing right by their customers really set them apart.
