This is a unique attraction that includes bronze sculptures of bison, self-guided tours, and interpretive presentations from Lakota Tribal members in a beautiful, high-prairie setting. Tatanka: Story of the Bison is open daily from May through October and will leave visitors with a greater appreciation for the Northern Plains bison and the people that depended on them and lived entirely off of the land.

When visiting Tatanka, take your time exploring via a self-guided tour. You will see 14 larger than life bronze sculptures of bison being pursued by three Native American riders, Dances with Wolves movie costumes, and Lakota interpretive presentations. The presentations last for about 90 minutes. Most visitors spend about two to three hours at Tatanka.
There is a gift shop and snack bar on site as well.
