Bus is lovely, server was friendly & tour takes you around the main sites in Dallas. Nice selection of teas and keep sake cup, but food was very disappointing - sandwiches had clearly been sitting for a while, & scones were definitely not fresh.

Oh lord. This was bad. If you don't have time to read the full review, just know you should skip this particular tea adventure. This was supposed to be a girl day with me and my two daughters and we were all excited. The tea bus showed up 45 minutes late, but didn't let us board until well after we'd waited outside in the 30 degree weather for over an hour. Two parties were pulled aside (I was one of them) to let us know our tables fell over while enroute and we would have minimal food, but would get a refund. Cool. We'd waited long enough and were curious, so we got on. Side note: one family could not board the bus because the bus was so late and they had a prior engagement afterwards, and two girls were told their trip was cancelled. I had no idea what to expect. I have a gluten allergy and didn't think I'd be able to eat anything, but my daughters said the small amount of food we had was not great. My youngest will eat anything coated in sugar, but didn't finish her cake pop. The tea was good, but they only gave you two sips maximum in a plastic sippy cup. I'm still trying to process the sippy cup thing. There was music and not a lot of heat, but I can only imagine being on there in the summer with no AC, so I felt fortunate. The ride around town was more like a "lets see what the unhoused in Dallas are up to." And that was peeing in the park, smokin' doobies in the sculpture garden, and covering themselves with whatever they can to stay warm. What was supposed to be a 90 minute ride was less than an hour. There's more I could say, but I'm still trying to sort through the tea bus weirdness. I called about my alleged refund and was told they have a no refund policy, but they would look into it if I sent an email. So far, all emails have come back "delivery incomplete."

I bought tickets for my daughter and myself to go last Friday at 3pm. Within 1.5 hours from the time we were supposed to be there we received a text stating it was cancelled due to "unforseen" issues. They stated an email would be sent and to reply asap. Tuesday afternoon and no email has come, no refund has come, no reply to emails or follow up. They took my money and didn't fulfill their part. Worst part besides the stealing of my money is we were so excited to do a mother/daughter event during her time off and we were already in the car when that text was received. What if I hadn't seen it? I'm disappointed by their lack of communication and overall handling of this situation.

This was described as a tour of Dallas and tea on the upper deck during the tour. I had seen it going around town and the ladies I could see through the window seemed to be enjoying it. I booked it for a party of 6 for out of town family members, thinking it would be the perfect activity. It was not good. There was not really a tour and only 2-3 "shots" (like shot glass size portions) of tea. There were some very dry scones (and I like scones), some stale tea sandwiches and some okay sweets. The "clotted cream" for the scones was hard like cream cheese and not tasty. Even the jam was bad! I was relived I had not paid for the premium bites of ahi tuna etc. It looked awful, too. The server did say they had recently changed caterers, so maybe it was better before, or maybe not. It was not worth the $69/per person for sure, and I actually would not have paid one cent to do this non tour. The "tour" guide did nothing for the first 20 minutes or so and then came up and pointed out the location of a couple of places (the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center and Klyde Warren Park, for example) and in his description only said things like "they have a lot of activities there". He also sang a song or two, which did not enhance the experience. He said we'd be going through Deep Ellum, but we didn't really at all, although we made sort of a U-turn under the highway separating downtown from that area. I was embarrassed to have recommended this activity for my guests and to have wasted their time and my money on this experience. Avoid!

This was my second tour with Tea Around Town in Dallas and unfortunately, it was not as well done as the first time, thus my review rating of average. I booked a group of 17 and the bus was 45 minutes late( if you count the 15 minutes we were supposed to be there for check-in). I not notified that there was a problem. The food was mediocre on this tour, somewhat dry and tasteless. Bottom line is it’s a great idea but needs work and absolutely needs a phone number listed on their website! Infuriating when you have a group booked!
