I give the Tea Around Town tour bus a 3/5. After being requested to arrive 15 minutes early, we waited in the cold and misty weather for about 45 minutes. I had to call the number online to ask about a new pickup time. Once we got on the bus, the tour was nice but the mics kept messing up, the bathroom wasn’t up to par, and the food wasn’t good. While it was still a nice experience, guest should have been made aware that the bus would be late! I think management should review food options and update the bus restroom and layout. The staff made the experience better with singing and engaging with guest, but if you decide to book the tour, please keep in mind that you may not receive a refund!

My family and I recently had a terrible experience on Tea Around Town in Atlanta. I sent a detailed complaint letter directly to CEO, Asen Kostadinov, and received no response. When the bus arrived it was clearly not properly maintained. It was visibly dirty, and it got struck on the curb causing the main door to become jammed. We were left standing outside in the cold for approximately 45 minutes while the driver and attendants worked to fix the door. Priority boarding was not honored because of the late start. We were also told the toilets did not work and to use a public restroom before boarding. There was no heat on the bus, and several cup holders were broken. The experience did not match what was advertised. There was no live performance or narration, and staff interaction was minimal. My daughter has severe nut allergies, and staff could not provide reliable allergen information. The menu did not match what was served: there was no caviar, frozen scones were served, only five teas were offered instead of six, and no tea boxes were provided. We paid almost $400 for 4 of us. It was worth maybe $40-$50 per person for Luxe. They need to take the bus out of service for maintenance! Buyer Beware!!

I always look for a different experience to celebrate my Birthday! The Ambiance, the concept, my company I came with was Great! Food was, okay, some sandwiches very tasty? Some of the sweets were stale but we were making the best because of the day! It would have been nice to have the tour guides would tell us about what we are seeing! The biggest let down is that our seat and the seat behind us was covered with ants and we were not offered is solution to fix it! I was not comfortable sitting in my seat! I believe if they prepare for our experience before hand by spraying and or cleaning the bus, I could have really enjoyed my 62nd birthday! I had hoped it would have been better I can check it off my list!

My friend and I took MARTA to the designated pickup area only to receive notice it would be 1 hr late. We found shelter in the Waffle House across the street which was the very best part of the day. Another notice came for a further delay. The bus was old and dirty. The help was “no help”. They never announced any sites; no music and only a few sips of tea. It is an embarrassment to the beautiful city of Atlanta! We should get a full refund to have wasted an hour with this so-called tour! AWFUL!

I booked this months in advance, and reviews seemed fine, until i reread them before we did it. I read other reviews, and apparently the bus has been at LEAST an hour late on every tour these past couple months. It was 32 degrees, and our bus was an hour and 45 minutes late. We only got a notification ONE MINUTE before the "departure" time, which was sent 3 times. We had other reservations and actvities planned, and it really threw off the entire day. We couldn't even go do other activities because we would only have 30 minute increments of a warning of when DEPARTURE was, and they told us to be fifteen minutes early for departure so we could get in the bus. I called to ask what was going on, and was told it was due to traffic, but then when we got on, we were told it was due to a different bus breaking down. It appears miscommunication happens often in this service. For the amount you pay, it's not much different than just doing afternoon tea at a local tea shop that offers it. Tea around Tea is advertised has having a tour guide, however the "tour guide" didn't actually give a tour. She came up, said "Welcome to afternoon tea! You will get to try five teas, and ask for refills if you like a specific one the most." And then we didn't hear, or speak to her until the "tour" ended and she collected plates. She seemed nice, but she didn't give a tour. Not to mention, we got 4 teas, not five. Waiter seemed kind of angry, but I would be too if I had to deal with angry customers for being late. But maybe don't take it out on the customers. Also, they had mentioned we could ask for a refill at any time, but the server would disappear for 15 minutes so we couldn't ask for extra until she came back up with the next tea. I asked at the very end to get more of one of the teas, and a woman behind me asked if she could also get the same one. Waitress said she would be back with more, but never came back. Also, I smuggled my own sugar onto the bus because we read the reviews saying they dont give you sugar until the end, which is correct. They gave us sugar for the last tea, and that was it. The food is presented at the beginning, and some of it was hit or miss of quality. The egg sandwich was good but had way too much pepper, and the bread was stale. The sweets were pretty decent. But, everything seemed low effort or low quality. The bus appearance WAS as advertised. So at least you know you're getting your pink bus... But honestly, having the experience cost as much as it did, it's not really worth the money. Its honestly just low effort afternoon tea on a bus. If it were cheaper, I would say sure, but for the price, you might as well go to a tea shop that ACTUALLY does afternoon tea.
