The experience was good. It does need a little improvement to be great. I enjoyed the restaurants/bars visited, but the emphasis was on drinking and not the ball drop. The goal of this group was seeing the ball drop,l and the perk was the drinking and food. So the tour missed the mark in that respect. My friend and I got what we paid for, we saw the ball drop, learned some history, and had a warm place to stay before seeing the ball drop. We had no desire to stand in corrals all day. This fit the bill for us. However, our entire group did not get the same experience due to organization issues, which I understand. The food was mediocre, most hors d'oeuvres were served on saltine crackers. It didn’t seem much effort was put into the food. In fact, pizza were purchased by someone on the tour to ensure we had food while enjoying cocktails. I will say the restaurants chosen were excellent, one was so pretty and inviting, one was located in the coolest are and was super fun, the last location was a bit odd and one we spent the most time but it was unlimited bar, so you can’t beat that and was located in an area that had us just a few blocks from the ball drop and was actually the best location to experience the countdown and champagne toast. The guides were great and seemed overwhelmed by the size of our group. But did great and with a few tweaks will offer a much needed tour for the NYE experience. I will recommend the tour to others based on my expectations being met but would caution them from having high expectations of food. I do appreciate the efforts of the tour and wish this tour agency the best in the future. They are definitely on to something, and have no doubt it will be excellent for the next group.
