We loved the Genteel &Bard Savannah history tour and have recommended it to our friends. The tour covers the heart of the historic district, centered on Bull Street and surrounding areas. Our guide had an IPad with very informative pictures, and we went through the entire history from the 17th century to the present. I was particularly interested to hear how the historic preservation effort was started and what it takes to renovate a house in the neighborhood. We also learned about local organizations such as SCAD that have played a big role. We spent time in several of the squares, that were all immaculately maintained. We were also impressed by how gracious the drivers were, yielding to a group of tourists crossing the street. This tour really makes Savannah come alive.

What a fantastic experience! Our guide — and owner — TC was absolutely outstanding. He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable about Savannah’s fascinating history, but he brings a unique perspective as a local who’s deeply connected to the city today. TC has a real gift for storytelling — blending historical facts, personal insight, and humor in a way that makes Savannah’s past feel alive and relevant. I especially loved how he connected the city’s history to its present-day culture and people. It felt like walking through time with a passionate friend who truly loves where he lives. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Savannah — whether it’s your first trip or your fifth, you’ll come away with a deeper appreciation for this beautiful city and its stories.
