Directions to The Flower Homestead
* Take the Talkeetna Spur rd. to mile “marker” 7.7
* Turn onto Birch Creek Blvd.
* Make a left on S Howling Malamute after 1/2 a mile
* Go straight onto the “un-maintained” road
* Drive slow
* Pass a broken yellow excavator.
* There is one more place where doubt will enter your mind, but then our driveway will appear on the left side of the road (0.6 miles from the Howling Malamute turn off). We are before the “steep” hill.
* Our driveway is hidden, but you will see the cabin on the ridge, hear the dogs barking and there is a sign to welcome you to the Flower Homestead.
(Out of respect for the neighbors, please do not venture beyond our driveway).
The road and neighborhood might look intimidating, they are both very safe. Although we do believe in functionality above aesthetics here at the Flower Kennel, we also believe in living in harmony with nature.
Note for spring: The puddles are deep, but have a solid bottom. A two wheel drive vehicle will make it through them, drive slowly and do not stop.
