OMG my friends and I had an amazing time in the Roux cooking class. Raymond was full of personality extremely welcoming and super informative. Although I cook often - I was impressed with the taste of the food. It felt like cooking at home with family. He gave good tips and tricks and has forever changed the way I make rice. He was extremely informative and answered even the most nuanced questions. Really loved the drinks that were available, the timing was perfected, and overall had a great time. This is not something I would just do once because the food came out just that darn good. Thanks Ray for making this such a memorable birthday experience for my friends and I :)

The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable. Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes. For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.
