The Visitor Center is a tiny building located approximately 60 feet (20 meters) walking distance into the Boston Common from Tremont Street. Directly across the street from the Boston Common on Tremont Street is a McDonald's as a reference point. Check in directly with your colonial dressed guide in front of the Boston Common Visitor Center.
*Note: Do NOT use Apple Maps to find the meeting place of this tour as it has a tendency to direct guests to a suburb outside of Boston. On Google Maps the walking directions are easily searchable under "Freedom Trail Starting Point."
IF YOU BECOME LOST IN THE PARK (step by step directions)
1. Walk to the nearest street to find which side of the Boston Common you are on and and look at a map or phone or GPS to locate yourself.
2. Walk along the perimeter of the Boston Common until you reach the Tremont Street side.
3. Walk along Tremont Street until you see the McDonald's across the street. This is when you should re-enter the Common to locate the Visitor's Center building. You will see a person dressed in colonial clothing. That is your guide. Check in with them.
