Our walk through the past of Soulard will guide us down streets with post civil war buildings and take us by some of the best bars and restaurants in the city. We are out to have fun and resurrect some ghastly stories of the past. Historic Soulard hosts the second largest Mardi Gras celebration in the US and for that reason they allow us to play by Mardi Gras rules every day. We will pass by the oldest public market west of the Mississippi and a dozen other historic homes as we stroll through the historic Soulard neighbourhood where more than a few have died and some of our more salacious headlines were born. Our journey begins and ends in front of the International Taphouse at 1711 S. 9th Street.
