The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth that made us feel truly welcome and cared for throughout the entire evening. You can feel that they’re not just doing a show, they’re sharing their culture with pride, love, and joy. It really feels like you’re being invited into a family celebration. Let’s talk about the food, wow. The portions are generous and everything was delicious. Dinner included pulled pork, chicken, macaroni salad, green salad, a roll, and rice. They also brought a small plate of fruit and a coconut custard-like dessert. And as if that wasn’t enough, dessert ended with a small slice of coconut cake. Every single bite was flavorful and fresh. What impressed us even more was how attentive they were about portions. They came around multiple times offering seconds. Our 18-year-old son, who can definitely eat, happily asked for more twice — and they served him with enthusiasm! Personally, I didn’t even finish my whole plate and I was full, so the servings are definitely generous. Just when I thought the food couldn’t get any better, they brought out a sample of Koko Samoa, a traditional Samoan hot chocolate made from ground cocoa beans. I had never tried it before, it was heavenly. I wish they sold it there! This was our first luau, so I can’t compare it to others, but it exceeded every expectation. It’s a family-run business, and you can truly see the pride and care they put into everything they do. The dances, stories, and music were authentic and beautifully presented. You feel like you’re learning, celebrating, and honoring the culture alongside them. Although the location was a bit far for us and we hit traffic, it was 100% worth it. The only thing I’d encourage them to consider is adding better signage outside. When we arrived (late due to traffic), there were no clear signs or staff outside, and the building can be a little confusing at first glance. Once inside, everything was perfect, but clearer signage would make arrivals easier. Don’t stress about where you sit! Truly, there are no “bad” seats. You can see everything beautifully from anywhere in the venue. Thank you to everyone at TOA Luau for making our night so memorable. Your hospitality, culture, talent, and exceptional food made this an experience we’ll never forget. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Oahu and looking for an authentic luau that feels personal, meaningful, and full of heart. You are so appreciated!

We attended the Toa Luau for our 20th anniversary, and it was truly unforgettable! We brought family and friends who traveled from all across the country, and every single person was blown away. From start to finish, the staff made us feel welcomed, celebrated, and completely at home. The setting in beautiful Waimea Valley added so much charm and authenticity. The cultural demonstrations — from the umu cooking to the kava ceremony — were fascinating and heartfelt. You don’t just watch the culture here, you feel part of it. The food was amazing! Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and prepared with real pride. Sampling dishes from Hawaii, Tonga, New Zealand, Tahiti, and Samoa was such a treat. And the show… stunning. The dancers, musicians, and storytellers were incredible, and the fire-knife finale was one of the best we’ve ever seen. Our whole group couldn’t stop talking about it. What makes Toa Luau stand out is how genuine and intimate it is. It’s not overcrowded or commercial — it’s full of warmth, tradition, and true Polynesian hospitality. It was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary with the people we love. If you’re coming to Oahu, don’t hesitate — Toa Luau is an absolute must. Thank you to the entire Toa Luau ohana for making our special celebration unforgettable!

Very disappointed. I had a problem getting to Waimea Valley in time for the 5:00 tour time. When we checked distance from our hotel early in the day it was 45 min to an hour. When we pulled up map at 3 pm to get directions, travel time was over 2 hrs!! I called venue to ask for a refund or to reschedule to tomorrow night. A guy called me back-no refund possible, but he offered to reschedule us for the next night for $40 add-on fee, and said he was busy and would call me back in 10 minutes for my card info to complete the reschedule. He never called me back. $218 gone. I know it was my fault for not realizing how traffic gets in the evening on this route. But, if you say you'll call someone back, you should.

Amazing performance! Listed start time was 5:00 thought but it seemed like the cultural events started long before that which we wish we could’ve participated in

Such beautiful scenery and we were well taken care of. Beautiful and meaningful cultural dances make it worth while. They accommodate well for diet restrictions. This is my 2nd time going and its my favorite Luau.
