Beautiful property. Loved that they taught about preparing food, opening and getting milk from coconuts, making traditional leaf headbands. They also showed how they climb coconut trees! Food was delicious and the show was beautiful! Very informative! Take advantage of the ticket to the botanical gardens. You can use up to a week before or after your luau.

Our family of 6 (ages 5-16 ) LOVED this luau! We utilized the admission to Waimea Valley Botanical gardens and swam in the falls at the end of the trail before walking back for the 5pm luau! We were wet and planned to change into our luau clothes that we left in the car. It all worked out, changed in the bathrooms and pulled back our wet hair and entered the luau to a lei greeting and assigned seating based on our purchased package (GOLD- 2 drink tickets per person and front row table of the elevated seating.) The luau starts with cultural demonstrations and then the cooking demo. The Emcee of the evening was wonderful- he is warm and charming, witty and knowledgeable. Our kids 9and us) were entranced at the methods and skills shown. Dinner was next, followed by the show. It starts slow with a ceremony of welcome (Ava) and quickly becomes a wonderful show of culture and family ties that do not come through the photos. The joy, passion, skill, beauty and warrior spirit were outstanding. My husband immediately said it was his favorite and most complete taste of true Hawaiian culture. Kids were rapt with attention, ate most of the food and talked all the way back to the resort about it. 100% will be doing this exact thing again on or planned return trips in 18 months. I would give us 2-3 hours to walk and explore the side trails, swim and walk back and change before the luau. It was a tight turn around at 90 minutes (we got held up at Giovanni’s ) 10/10

Excellent! Wish we allocated more time to see the Waimea Valley since there are so many things to see there. The website says to allocate 2 hours, but I'd recommend more time. We went to Waimea Falls, which was great. The Luau was terrific. Hard to say anything negative. Just Fantastic.

Without a doubt, this luau is the most authentic, most complete and culturally profound. Everything was beyond our expectations! Food was yummy and service was wonderful. The activities before dinner gave insight to life of native Hawaiian and involved everyone! The MC was warm, friendly and witty. We felt like we were at a big family reunion. The dancing demos were impressive and all people in cast were servers or helpers with other aspects of the Luau. Bringing their children on stage for final demo was great way to end this family luau. LOVED IT!!!

The show was funny, pleasant, calming and really informative. We enjoyed every second. I was with my husband and two kids (8y, 10y). Even they were really tired due ti big time zone difference, they enjoyed the show. Especially with fire. Food was delicious and big portions, and they asked if we want more. This expirience is worth of money.
