Wow! Such an amazing experience. The demonstration was extremely fun and engaging, informative, and easy to follow along. Chef Eric explained each step clearly, and made the experience memorable even for a beginner. Ingredients and their purposes and histories were introduced and explained not just how but why they were important. We tried the Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Pralines and they were delicious. Overall it was well-organized, educational, and a really fun experience.

We went to an afternoon demonstration class that was hosted by Chef Eric. He did a wonderful job and made the class very entertaining. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for something a little different and fun, definitely attend the School of Cooking.

The event was supposed to be 2 hours but it took much longer. I had a flight to catch so I only got the gumbo. I missed the other 3 foods. The lady teaching was nice but she talked a lot and was slow.

We have been to many cooking classes and found we learned more at this cooking demonstration than any of the hands-on classes. The chef carefully explained how to do the dishes and gave us helpful hits to take back home. Having the recipes in front of us, we could take notes and observations. Also, we learned a lot about New Orleans and the history of the food culture.

Great food, great stories, history and explanations. Austin was terrific. The TV and mirrors really helped see what was going on. The extra cooking tips were great too.
