Informational, fun, local waters tour. Perfect for a family activity. We felt safe and comfortable on the waters outside of Harbourtown. Overcast skies turned sunny with a chill in the air. A really nice activity for our family.
Come join the crew aboard the Tammy Jane for a 2-hour educational and picturesque low-country experience as we take you out Shrimping! We invite you to learn about our healthy salt marsh environment, and introduce you to some of the sea creatures we'll safely pull up in our nets (in addition to shrimp!). We will explore how various ecosystems intertwine to create the rich food web that provides food for our tables. This is a unique opportunity for guests of all ages! If we do catch shrimp aboard an expedition the crew will package some up for guests to take home.

- The Vagabond Cruise reservation office is located just behind the Harbour Town Lighthouse. If you have your mobile ticket you are able to go directly to the boat (Tammy Jane) 30-minutes before departure to board which is located on the pier in front of the Lighthouse.

We had a great time on this adventure! The crew were knowledgeable and fun and we appreciated them! A fun excursion for the family on actual working shrimp trawler. Crew were very friendly and informative. Kids got extra attention and were able to sort through many shells and shark teeth crew had. The actual catch was small but included shrimp, flounder, crab and even a puffer fish. Added bonus was taking shrimp home - not often you can claim your own boat to table experience!
