We had a mix up with booking thru our travel agent and thought we had booked a tour when it turned out it was just a rental. We were apprehensive and did panic at first about going out on our own. The tour guide for the previous tour was NOT supportive or understanding. She easily could have eased our fears by saying she would help us and it was easy. She might be good at bike riding, but she showed zero customer service to help our fears. She matter factly showed us how to use the bikes as we have never driven E bikes before. As it turned out it was easy and we did fine on our own. In fact I'd recommend that people just rent and really don't need the tour guide. I just wish she would have been a little more understanding and had taken the time to ease our fears before we set out. Customer service goes a long way, especially for older people.

Derek was great. It obvious he loves what he is doing and his passion is contagious. He was super informative and we got to see the volcano from so many different views. He made sure to always look out for all of us. Definitely recommend this experience.

We went on the three hour tour with Nicole.
Highly recommend as she showed us all kinds of things and spoke about the Island and the park. We got so much more out of the experience thanks to her. The bikes were excellent machines and in good shape.

The e-bikes were great… very easy to get used to. If you have never rode an E-bike…Tyler & Nicole will make this experience stress free.
Bikes were in great shape, & helmets were perfect.
I can’t say enough superlative’s about this excursion.
You do not have to be an avid bike rider to do this … it was very comfortable.
I liked riding thru the rain forest trail to the Lava Tunnel

My only other advice … complete the Waiver forms ahead of time and arrive for your tour 15-30 mins early .
It was a bit of a drive from west coast & we arrived early enough to grab some delicious Thai food from a food truck.
There are picnic tables to relax & enjoy a pre-ride bite…
