We were a family of a dozen people ranging in ages from 3 to 73 years of age. We were all looking forward to the luau - but it fell short of our expectations. The food was good. It was organized well. The show was good. The only thing that we were wondering about was why it started and ended so early. It started at 530pm - I get that we could see the sunset - but it ended at 8pm - and this was a New Year's Eve Luau! No fireworks, nothing at midnight, things started being cleared away by the staff right at 8pm. I guess I read it all wrong - but this was just an ordinary luau that had absolutely nothing to do with New Year's Eve. I spent a lot of money to make this special evening and all we really got was a regular luau that would probably have cost half the price if it was the week or day before.

Paid full price. That’s a lot of money. Could have comfortably watched from the lagoon and missed nothing performance-wise. Food was plentiful, but not worth the full price. Drink tickets? Really? For that price? I didn’t have to pay full price, but I didn’t want to sit through another 90 min presentation either.
